Speaking personally, Daniel Roth was a brand which was under-appreciated when privately owned, and now its 'loss' is greatly regretted. Strangely, it is the very thing that marked the brand which then was off-putting, and now is appealing: the shape of the case.
To this fan of simple watches, your time-only DR is the most appealing of all. It is terrific! The way that the sub-seconds intersects the minutes chapter ring is reminiscent of this Benzinger (probably a later dial?):
and in a similar fashion, but a little differently, this BLU:
What was it about the Daniel Roth that you found so appealing?
By the way, is that your bench? If so, you take 'DIY cleaning' to a whole new level!!
