Automotive: Yes! But we Californians have generally paid roughly half our European counterparts! Now we're getting very close!

I can't imagine what my petrol bill in Europe would be with the AMG. 10.000 Euros a year? Yikes! Even in California it was very large.

Automotive: Bene bene bene! La Dolce Vita!

So true! Thank you for your straightforward yet totally on-point analysis. Especially to Americans - anything in Italian sounds great. I understand very little Italian - and yet I still like Puccini Operas. What Italian opera aria shall I listen to today?

Patek Philippe: I wanted the P, but my mother wanted the G.

She wanted to have the flexibility to accessorize different colored straps with the G - which would've been limited with the P. So it was more of an aesthetic choice - and it was more importantly her choice. In the end, I don't think she used the watch. Nor the Lange I bought for her. But whatever m

Horological Meandering: Every brand is different.

I don't remember the details on the Hentschel watch. But there were definitely a lot of contractual requirements. And some risk exposure. I don't think members committed money ahead of time, but that's besides the fact that WPS was still very obligated in other things - a place we don't want to be i

Automotive: Agreed! One in the fleet as a commuter is perfect.

Especially if you live in a place like California where you have insane fuel costs. We're paying $6.00 USD+ per gallon of premium fuel (all of my cars I've ever owned unfortunately required premium fuel). For our European friends, I'm still under 2 Euros a liter, but coming close, at around 1.60 Eur

Patek Philippe: Poor G indeed!

A lot of underused beauties in my family. More unused beauties than used ones! Very sad indeed!

Automotive: Ferrari 12 Cilindri Announced

New Ferrari 12 Cilindri looks in-cohesive in my non-expert opinion. I do not have a Master of Fine Arts nor any deep work experience in the art world. Surely, the performance will be phenomenal. The engine is still naturally aspirated with approximately 820 horsepower. Photo from Ferrari Press Relea

Horological Meandering: It's not quite as simple as you assume...

Presell? WPS would have to commit to a set number by the manufacture before we have a concept shown. And we can't pre-sell without a concept - unless you think you'd give WPS 30K of your money carte blanche! Thus, no risk is minimized. Sadly, things aren't as simple as you initially assumed. Not sur

Patek Philippe: I like the J more than the G owned in my family!

P, J, R, G is the order for me for the 5110 family. For the 5130, I like P, R, J, and G. This 5110J is a beautiful example - I would proudly wear this! I wonder if there's a casual strap style that would lend itself well to this watch. And maybe a casual watch strap style for the 5110G might make me
